Arts & Science Festival 2016 explored memory and forgetting and brought together leading artists, thinkers and scientists for a free programme of activity.

Professor Alice Roberts, author, broadcaster and anatomist discussed her BBC series The Celts, revealing the origins, life and legacy of one of the world’s most mysterious ancient civilisations.

We welcomed to campus a series of exhibitions and events reflecting on Birmingham’s past including #Nicklin Unseen was an outdoor exhibition examining the work of Phyliss Nicklin, a Lecturer at the University of Birmingham during the 1950s and 60s, who took thousands of photographs from across the city.
