A journey from Victorian Statesman Joseph Chamberlain’s home at Highbury, Kings Heath to the University clock tower named in his honour.
Artist Matt Westbrook has devised a route which frames the celebrated tower from a variety of elevated locations, showcasing what is perhaps Birmingham’s most overlooked landmark.
Zig-zagging through the side streets and waterways, the walk is at once a sight-seeing expedition and a reflection on the nature of lines of sight, holiday itineraries and the Italian influence on the city.
This three hour exploration will break for rest and refreshments en route. Ticket price includes a drink. Please dress for the weather and wear shoes suitable for urban walking.
