This exhibition showcases the artwork produced in a workshop for young people between 16 and 25 years. The group explored the histories of Central and Eastern Europe and use the testimonies gathered through Testimony in Practice as a stimulus for artistic output.
This exhibition is presented as part of Revolutions: 1989 in 2019, which brings together two AHRC-funded projects: In-Between Spaces, which explores barriers to inclusion and representation experienced by CEE artists living in the UK; and Testimony in Practice, which has collected short testimonies from CEEs living in the UK. The work of Revolutions can be seen in multiple locations throughout the week commencing 7 October.
Presented by Languages, Cultures, Art History and Music at the University Birmingham in partnership with Centrala.
